We are looking for a talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our Skanska USA Building HR Team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our Boston and Skanska Integrated Solutions leadership teams, leading, growing, and developing their teams and organizations. As part of our team, you will champion Skanska’s culture and values, partnering with business leaders to build, nurture, and develop project and management teams. Your role involves leadership, organizational consulting, creating people solutions, and being part of a national team of HR Business Partners.

This position reports to the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources and works closely with EVPs/General Managers based in Boston, MA.

HR Business Partner Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor embedded in the business leadership.
  • Understand business strategy and operational needs.
  • Provide organizational, team, and individual consulting services using a strategic approach.
  • Work with leadership to coach at all levels.
  • Drive solutions-focused change, demonstrating systemic thinking and holistic planning.
  • Partner across business units to enhance the employee experience.
  • Ensure alignment with our culture and values.
  • Serve as a liaison for HR-related services, supporting coordination with IT, Communications, Payroll, etc.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Develop data-supported conclusions and action plans, providing workforce insights to predict patterns linked to performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting leaders in large organizations.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent, or 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 7 years supporting HR functions.
