Hiring a 1st Shift Pallet Builder in Camp Hill, PA!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crater to join our team, primarily responsible for building crates and assisting with various shop duties. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing or construction environments and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and computer-based shipping processes.

Responsibilities

• Build crates using hand tools and power tools.
• Enter shipping information into computer systems.
• Assist with packaging and kitting tasks.
• Operate machinery, including eventual training on band saws.
• Interact with customers and assist in their needs.
• Take responsibility for running the shop in the absence of the production manager.
• Train to drive a box truck and assist with deliveries to other facilities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
• Ability to use computers for shipping purposes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Packaging and kitting experience.
• Experience working with customers.
• Experience operating machinery and forklifts.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 1st shift from 6am to 3pm. This is a contract opportunity, contingent on steady orders and performance. The facility is newly opened, providing a dynamic environment where you'll be responsible for the majority of shop work. You will be one of the few employees in the shop, facilitating independence and leadership potential. Comfortable working with wood products is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
