In this role, you will be responsible for: The Aero-Thermal Engineering Analyst will generate aerodynamic characteristics, aero-thermal heat transfer environments, and thermal responses across various flight conditions, from low speeds to hypersonic flows associated with flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. The position requires expertise in CAD models, MATLAB, Ansys Fluent CFD software, and a willingness to learn Textron Systems' legacy aero-thermal codes. Results will be summarized in presentations and detailed reports. Responsibilities Serve as aerodynamic analyst generating aerodynamic characteristics (pressures, loads, and coefficients) for strategic missiles and reentry vehicles. Serve as aerothermal analyst generating heat transfer environments for thermal analyses of flight vehicles. Generate thermal profiles for exterior/interior structures and payloads based on surrounding flow field environments. Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses, including conduction, convection, and radiation. Use COTS tools (Siemens NX, Ansys Fluent, MATLAB) and Textron-developed software to generate aerodynamic, aerothermal, and thermodynamic data. Recommend design changes to improve performance and efficiency. Summarize findings and techniques via presentations and reports. Travel up to 5% may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. 8+ years of experience in the field. Extensive experience in generating aerodynamic, aerothermal, and thermodynamic responses. Proficiency with COTS aero/thermal/mechanical tools and a desire to learn Textron software. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation. Excellent communication skills for documenting analysis techniques and results.
