CORPORATE FUNCTIONS

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

As the global leader for Talent Management at Expedia Group, you will craft and implement the strategy and products to help drive the Expedia Group talent agenda in support of short-term and long-term strategic objectives. Your Talent Management focus will be related to talent management and leadership development, performance management, succession planning, executive coaching and onboarding, career framework and internal mobility.

As such, we are seeking a transformative Vice President; a change-agent who values team collaboration, can think creatively, and who has both the thought leadership and the executional ability to lead and drive change.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide thought leadership and actively seek opportunities to design, develop and deploy enterprise-wide talent management practices, processes and tools in support of performance management, talent reviews, competency models, feedback/assessment, career management, etc.

  • Build and manage an enterprise-wide talent and succession planning process to ensure a consistent bench of talent is in place for senior leadership and other priority areas across Expedia Group.

  • Lead with a user-centered design perspective with the ability to problem solve from a product mindset by building solutions from an agile methodology.

  • Develop and build enterprise consensus around the creation, delivery and evaluation of strategies & tools related to developing leaders, managers, key talent &other talent pools.

  • Approach, prioritize and solve problems from a data and systems perspective. Comfortably use data to tell the story of the talent agenda and influence leaders and employees at all levels.

  • Contribute to a culture where learning, coaching and delivering consistent feedback lead to positive impact and results. Architect and drive an ongoing “talent dialogue” with leaders including the processes and how to do this in conversations.

  • Build and maintain a high performing organization, providing strategic leadership and coaching, and ultimately developing exceptional talent for Expedia Group.

  • Create the space for our Talent Management approach to be the vanguard for Inclusion, Diversity and Social Mobility.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in HR, within talent management or related roles (leadership development, learning, OD etc.) with depth in building global talent strategies.

  • You are an experienced, large-scale, Talent Management leader, with experience of strategically planning, building and optimizing talent platforms for a technology company, globally.

  • Experienced leading, coaching, and inspiring a multi-level, global team.

  • Strong knowledge of the full suite of talent management strategies and methodologies, with focus on performance and succession, leadership development frameworks, career and internal mobility platforms.

  • A Strategic Partner: curious and passionate about the business context and leadership growth, builds strong relationship by being an inspiring and approachable leader.

  • Proven impact and influencing skills and track record of successfully engaging with senior leaders to define what it means to be a leader at EG.

  • You are an incredibly strong operator of running day to day operations on a global fast-paced scale, across globally dispersed teams, leveraging technology and change management to continuously optimize efficiencies and push the boundaries of what is possible.

  • Data-driven: leverage data to identify gaps, you think holistically and strategically, considering the interconnectedness of various factors. ability to synthesize ad hoc market intelligence data to provide insight and inform talent strategies i.e. talent market trends, threats, opportunities etc.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $296,000 to $415,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $474,00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
